After its pause since Summer Jam's last show in 2019, the annual star-studded summer festival by KS 107.5 is making its big return at Fiddlers Green Amphitheater on June 18th. With Russ and YG headlining this year's Summer Jam, they are joined by Vince Staples, Cordae, and many more rising rappers and DJs in the scene.
Summer Jam is co-headlined by Russ, one of the world's hottest rising rappers fresh from the NY hip-hop scene. With years of dropping albums and mixtapes, Russ found his big break with the release of his twelfth studio record "There's Really a Wolf" featuring RIAA Platinum-awarded singles "What They Want", "Losin Control", "Do It Myself", and "Me You". The album has sold over 1,000,000 units in the US. His other hits include "Best on Earth" featuring Bia, and "Missin You Crazy". Russ surprised fans at the end of 2021 with a new record "Chomp 2". With powerful lyrics and clever tunes influenced by various genres, Russ became an ear-magnet to listeners across the globe.
Co-headlining Summer Jam is YG, known for his bars that tell tales of iconic street life. Though making his first appearance in 2010 with his debut single "Toot It and Boot It" feat. Ty Dolla Sign, YG found his big breakthrough with his 2013 single "My Nigga" featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan bagging a 5x Platinum certification from the RIAA. From then on, YG became a staple crowd favorite for his succeeding hit singles like "Who Do You Love?" featuring Drake, "Why You Always Hatin?" featuring Drake and Kamaiyah, "Big Bank" featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj, and "Go Loko" featuring Tyga and Jon Z. He also made appearances as a featured artist for various tracks by notable artists including Fergie, Ty Dolla Sign, H.E.R., Future, and Mariah Carey.
Performing alongside Russ and YG are Vince Staples and Cordae. Staples is a rapidly rising rapper and singer in the scene known for his notable singles "Norf Norf", "Big Fish", "&Burn" with Billie Eilish, and "Law of Averages". Cordae is another rapidly rising act emerging in 2019 with the release of his debut studio album "The Lost Boy" hitting #13 on the Billboard 200. His notable singles include "Kung Fu", "Have Mercy", "RNP" feat. Anderson .Paak, and "Gifted" feat. Roddy Ricch.
Summer Jam 2022 also features more rising acts and DJs including Jnr Choi, Buddy, Kendra Jae, and Trev Rich x TheyCallHimAP plus DJ Nunez, DJ Tanastadi, DJ Five8 and DJ Squizzy Taylor.
